Hammet @ Castell Malgwyn is an independently-owned country hotel, nestled within the rural village of Llechryd, North Pembrokeshire. The 18th Century, listed building is located over the bridge next to the scenic river Teifi.

A solo exhibition, by Royal Academician Linda Sutton, and traditional Georgian features can be found inside. On the ground floor, you will find the relaxed Library Bar and opposite, the Art Room restaurant.

In 2020, the Art Room restaurant was awarded three AA Rosettes and four stars were given to the accommodation. 15 bedrooms are at the top of our grand staircase, each with their own unique characteristics.

Chris and Nicky Mason- Watts took over the hotel in April 2017 and one of the first things they decided to do was turn the hotel into a dog-friendly one. This was an easy choice to make, taken from their own experiences of travelling with their Pulik, Mrs. Ruskin and Bartleby.

Hammet @ Castell Malgwyn is over 200 years old, so mobile phone signal can be unreliable (in this day and age, that might be a blessing in disguise). There are phones in each of our bedrooms and also a payphone at reception. Please note that we do offer free wi-fi, but again, having thick, stone walls it doesn’t always reach to guest bedrooms. For that reason, all our free wi-fi is available in all public areas.
